The gall bladder is in contact with the posterior surface of the right lobe of the liver

Arterial supply - by the cystic artery a branch of the right hepatic artery -  given off behind the CBD; it lies in Calot's triangle, where it divides into an anterior and a posterior branch and supplies the gallbladder
Venous drainage-Cystic vein which joins the portal vein

Stones may form in the gallbladder - gall stones
Biliary colic - gall stone gets stuck in the cystic duct or common bile duct (CBD) - spasmodic contraction of the ducts ' colicky pain called biliary colic
Inflammation of the gall bladder is called cholecystitis.
Tumours may form in the gall bladder
